  • Botox (Botulinum toxin) is a toxin obtained from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum.

  • Botox temporarily stops the transmission between the muscles or sweat glands and nerves in the area where it is injected.

  • Botox can be used to reduce facial wrinkles, treat migraines, prevent teeth grinding control excessive sweating, and treat medical problems such as strabismus. Today, it is mostly used for cosmetic purposes.
